86 break-through projects totally worth USD 56 billion have been chosen so far under the “30 Corporate Leaders of Kazakhstan” Program. This was announced in a live broadcast today by the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev when he was presenting break-through projects proposed by 9 regions of Kazakhstan.

This was announced in a live broadcast today by the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev when he was presenting break-through projects proposed by 9 regions of Kazakhstan.
“Under this program, 86 projects totally worth USD 56 billion have been selected so far. These enterprises will be put into operation, and we will be building Kazakhstan as a nation of innovations”, President said.
The state-run “30 Corporate Leaders of Kazakhstan” Program had been drafted in pursuance of President N. Nazarbayev’s instruction; the Program seeks to modernize the Kazakh economy and support Kazakh companies willing to enter international markets through offering competitive products. The Government is to develop and submit a finalized draft program in Q4 2007. Each break-through project should be estimated at over USD 100 million. The share of the state in the business projects at the initial stage will make up not more than 25% plus one share.
