Kazakhstan’s PM Karim Massimov meets US Senator Richard Lugar
Today, at the Government’s House in Astana, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov met US Senator Richard Lugar.
The sides dwelt on the current state and prospects of the Kazakh-US bilateral relations, as well as on development of the international market of agricultural produce. The high price for foodstuffs is of concern not only to Kazakhstan, but also to the USA and many other countries, the Senator noted.
R. Lugar voiced intention to bolster in every possible way further development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the USA in the realm of foodstuffs supplies. The Senator lauded dynamics of the Kazakh-US strategic partnership development and pointed to a significant part played by Kazakhstan in non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and in biological safety provision.
