At a press-conference following the meeting, Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov said that during the meeting they had discussed investments of Russian companies to the Kazakh electric power industry, development of transport corridors, and cooperation in railways traffic.
According to M. Fradkov said.
When answering a question on Baikonur, the Russian PM noted that “Baikonur has been successfully operating; there are concrete projects – KazSat, KazSat-2 and Baiterek - being currently implemented; social issues of the Kazakhstan’s citizens [over 2.5 thousand of them living in the city] are being effectively attended to. There is a special agreement currently under development to regulate the issues. This is a solid foundation to build upon”.
