Kazakh Language Studying Materials Fair Opened in Astana

Education Minister Zhanseit Tuimenbayev, Culture and Information Minister Ermukhamet Ertysbayev, Parliament deputy Mukhtar Shakhanov and some reps of public bodies were among the distinguished speakers at the event.
Publishing houses, education institutions, libraries, and companies producing video and audio studying materials made presentations of a wide range of teaching materials and associated services. Various programs, including interactive courses, for teaching and self-study of the Kazakh language were presented to Head of the Government. According to Education Minister Zh. Tuimenbayev, over 40 interactive courses on CDs and over 600 paper-based reference books were displayed.
Among the participants there was a group of 17 pupils and college students of non-Kazakh origin who have mastered the Kazakh language. This delegation comprising reps of different country regions cam to participate in the round-table discussion on the Kazakh language promotion arranged by the Kazakh Education Ministry.
