Kazakhstan’s PM Karim Massimov meets Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Vice President of India
Today at the Government’s House in Astana Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov met Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Vice President of India.
In the course of the meeting the sides pointed to the dynamic growth of bilateral cooperation both in political and trade-and-economic realms, as well as to the vast potential of ties between Kazakhstan and India.
“The task set for our governments is to put favorable conditions in place to facilitate cooperation. We need to ensure greater involvement of Indian companies in the Kazakh energy sector. Besides, there are bright opportunities for joint work in IT sector and education. Production of foodstuffs is one of the realms attractive to investors. We could be jointly producing foodstuffs that could be further exported to third countries”, K. Massimov said.
In addition, Kazakhstan’s PM suggested using capabilities of his country as a hub to expand business into entire Central Asia and Caspian littoral states, including Russia.
“Your proposals set a road map for further interaction. They are opening new opportunities for India, and we have to work on it”, Mohammad Hamid Ansari said.
When closing the meeting, the sides expressed confidence in successful development of Kazakh-Indian relations.
