Electronic air tickets to be introduced by the end of 2007
The work is under way in Kazakhstan to introduce electronic air tickets, this was announced at a Kazakh Government sitting by Azat Bekturov, Vice Minister of Transport and Communications, when reporting on civil aviation development.

”This will enable passengers to purchase tickets on the Internet, and the air carriers will be able to expand their geographic cover. Introduction of sales of electronic air tickets has been scheduled for the end of 2007”, he announced. He also informed that in late August Air Astana National Airlines is introducing a discount system as an incentive for regular passengers.
