180 projects totally worth USD 100 billion proposed to make up the list of break-through projects
Over 180 competing projects totally worth USD 100 billion have been proposed to be included into the list of break-through projects. This was announced at a Government sitting by Aslan Musin, Kazakh Vice PM – Minister of Economic Affairs and Budget Planning.

According to him, the State Committee for Kazakhstan Economy Modernization had considered numerous projects proposed by companies at the meeting with President Nazarbayev April 20, 2007. Out of the 67 projects proposed by TuranAlem Bank, Kazkommerts Bank, Halyk Bank, Bank Center Credit, Eksim Bank, ATF Bank and Tsesna Bank, as we all as by Mangustaumunaigaz, Energymanagement, Kazakhmys, Astana Group, and Forum of Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs, 41 projects totally worth USD 25 billion have been proposed to be included into the list.
According to A. Musin, the proposed projects will be considered under the state program of 30 corporate leaders of Kazakhstan. He added that “the list is still open for both domestic and foreign companies willing to invest into the Kazakh economy”.
