Electric power internal supply in 2009 to fully meet demand, Kazakhstan Energy Ministry
Anticipated internal demand for electric power in 2009 will be met by means of domestic power generating capacities, announced Nesipkul Bertisbayev, Head of the Electric Power and Coal Industry Department at the Kazakh Energy Ministry.

“We have developed a plan to expand electric power generation sector by 2015. We’ve planned a set of concrete measures to overhaul already operating and construct new electric power generating facilities. Estimated demand for electric power in 2009 makes up 87.9 billion K.W.H., we plan to have it fully met”.
