Kazakhstan Prime Minister orders establishment of strategic planning and internal audit departments in all the public bodies
According to K. Massimov, new approaches to budget-planning should be introduced stagedly. Pilot projects will be launched in the Ministries of Economy and Budget Planning, Finance, Justice, Healthcare, and Education and Science.
At todays’ Government sitting, Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Massimov has ordered to establish strategic planning and internal audit departments in all the public bodies in Q307.
According to K. Massimov, new approaches to budget-planning should be introduced stagedly. Pilot projects will be launched in the Ministries of Economy and Budget Planning, Finance, Justice, Healthcare, and Education and Science.
At regional level, pilot projects will cover the South Kazakhstani oblast and Astana. “I mean that the 2008 budget for these public bodies should be planned with due consideration of the new approaches”, Head of the Kazakh Government said.
Prime Minister also commissioned the Economy Ministry “to submit to the Government - not later than by August 1, 2007 - draft methods of evaluation and audit of the public bodies’ work, and to introduce starting from July 1, 2007 rating systems for evaluation of public bodies’ efficiency”.
