“I bindingly confirm that the Government takes strenuous efforts to nail down economic growth”, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov said when speaking in the Majilis on adjustment of the 2008 state budget.
During May 27 governmental sitting Karim Massimov, Kazakh Prime-Minister, commissioned Akhylbek Kurishbayev, Minister of Agriculture, with reporting twice monthly on the situation in the domestic grain market, and indicated that if the market is threatened, a ban on export of flour will be introduced “at any moment”.
May 27, 2008, Rixsos Hotel in Astana hosted the 5th sitting of the Kazakh-Swiss Committee on Trade-and-economic Cooperation.
The sides dwelt on issues of bilateral political and economic cooperation.
Funding of events intended to promote healthy lifestyle in Kazakhstan should be increased at lease 10-fold, Anatoly Dernovoy, Healthcare Minister, said at today’s government meeting.
The sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral ties between Kazakhstan and France.
“Lithuania’s experience and interaction with Lithuanian businesses to exploit transport capacities are of great interest to us. I believe there are a number of vectors we can be moving along relying on the Lithuania’s transit potential”, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov told a briefing following the talks with his Lithuanian counterpart Gediminas Kirkilas.
“In the economic realm relations between our two nations have been dynamic. This year we need a new impulse enabling us to take a step forward in economic development. This business forum will be a true lever to encourage further development of the economy and bring our cooperation to new heights”, said Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov when opening the forum.
