Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov Meets Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry Rachid Mohamed Rachid
August 29, Kazakhstan’s PM Karim Massimov met Rachid Mohamed Rachid, Minister of Trade and Industry of Egypt, in the Government House in Astana.
They discussed current state and development prospects of Kazakh-Egyptian bilateral relations, focusing on such areas as trade, light industry, S&MBs and agriculture. Besides, they also touched upon matters concerned with the upcoming second meeting of the Kazakh-Egyptian Business Council.
Background information:
According to Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commodity turnover between the two states (mainly exports) exceeded USD 233 million for the period of January-May 2008. While in 2007 it made up only USD 76 million, with export responsible for USD 66 million and import – for USD 10 million.
