Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov meets a UK delegation headed by HRH Prince Michael of Kent
September 23 at the Government’s House in Astana Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov met a UK delegation headed by HRH Prince Michael of Kent.
In the course of the talks the sides discussed issues of cooperation in the realms of education and culture.
In particular, the Prime Minister outlined the project to start a New University in Astana under the patronage of President N. Nazarbayev.
K. Massimov noted that involvement of Great Britain would be of great value, adding that the project envisages establishment of R&D centers and a Scientific Research Fund.
HRH Prince Michael of Kent said that the London School of Economics and Political Science and Oxford University are interested in establishing scholarships for students studying in Great Britain.
