Kazakhstan’s PM Karim Massimov and Prime Minister Samir Rifai of Jordan inaugurate Jordan Trade Center in Astana

Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov and Prime Minister Samir Rifai of Jordan unveiled a Jordan Trade Center in Astana. The center was launched under the aegis of JEDCO and currently features cosmetology products, medical and veterinary products, fertilizers and light industry products. The center seeks to maintain ties between businessmen of the two nations.
“I am confident that the visit of Prime Minister Samir Rifai will give an impetus to the bilateral relations of the two nations…”, said Prime Minister Karim Massimov following the talks.
Prime Minister Samir Rifai announced that they “have agreed on measures to boost trade and put in place conditions for mutual investments… A special emphasis was placed on bilateral cooperation in trade, agriculture and investments”. He also pointed out that the two governments should facilitate joint projects between private sectors of the two nations.
JEDCO plays an important role in implementing government policies to further develop Jordanian exports. JEDCO also assists to expand the geographic distribution of exports, and to improve the quality and value added of Jordanian goods and services.
