Kazakh Prime-Minister Karim Massimov Meets with CIS Executive Secretary and Chairman of the Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev
Today Kazakh Prime-Minister Karim Massimov and CIS Executive Secretary and Chairman of the Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev have met in the Government House.
During the meeting they discussed a number of acute issues concerned with development of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Sergey Lebedev emphasized: “Kazakhstan played an important role while its CIS chairmanship”. “Thanks to efforts of Kazakh leaders we have managed to draft and sign documents important to the CIS member-states, including The Concept for Further Development of the CIS and the Plan of Major Actions to Implement the Concept”, Mr. Lebedev said.
Prime-Minister Massimov congratulated Sergey Lebedev on his appointment to the position of the Chairman of the Executive Committee and said that “Kazakhstan will continue to take efforts to further strengthen and develop the CIS member-states”.
