Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov meets World Bank Consultant Graham Scott
Today at the Government’s House in Astana, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov met World Bank consultant Graham Scott.
The parties focused on introduction of a new budget planning system in Kazakhstan.
According to G. Scott, the draft Budget Code lays foundation for an advanced system to manage state finance and introduces mechanisms brand new for Kazakhstan.
“The Budget Code is very realistic. The document attaches adequate attention to details and staged introduction of new methods of budgeting. The new approach is based on corporate governance concepts. This will take much time, but you have made the first step along this path”, Graham Scott said.
