Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Marat Tazhin has bilateral meetings with his foreign counterparts on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council sitting
December 4-5 in Helsinki, Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Marat Tazhin had a number of bilateral meetings with his foreign counterparts, notably David Miliband of Great Britain, Eka Tkeshelashvili of Georgia, Markos Kyprianou of Cyprus, Jan Kubish of Slovakia, Maxime Verhagen of the Netherlands, Jonas Gahr Støre of Norway, Carl Bildt of Sweden, US Assistant Secretary of State William Burns, OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, President of the OSCE Parliemnt Assembly Joao Soares.
Jonas Gahr Støre of Norway invited Minister Tazhin to visit Oslo; the parties also discussed a visit of the Norwegian leader to Kazakhstan. A visit of Slovak President scheduled for next year was discussed at the meeting with Jan Kubish. Marat Tazhin extended invitations to his counterparts from the Netherlands and Sweden to visit his country.
At the meetings with the OSCE leadership, the sides discussed interaction of Kazakhstan with this influential organization.
