Moscow hosts 22nd sitting of the Euroasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) Interstate Council
In particular, Heads of the Governments dwelt on the issue of Uzbekistan’s membership suspension and on forming of legal framework for the customs union within the EurAsEC.
December 12 Moscow hosted the 22nd sitting of the Euroasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) Interstate Council. The sitting focused on the most acute issues and prospects of the EurAsEC.
In particular, Heads of the Governments dwelt on the issue of Uzbekistan’s membership suspension and on forming of legal framework for the customs union within the EurAsEC.
The attendees signed 14 international agreements laying foundation of the customs union in terms of tariff control and technical regulation.
Besides, they signed 5 pentalateral agreements in social realm, currency policy and information support spheres.
Head of the Council for EurAsEC Financial Policy reported on concerted efforts taken to overcome consequences of the global financial market, as well as on drafting a Concept of Effective Use of Water Resources in Central Asia and the EurAsEC.
