Zurich Hosts a Sitting of the Kazakh-Swiss Intergovernmental Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation
Zurich hosted the 6th sitting of the Kazakh-Swiss Intergovernmental Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation headed by Rashid Tusupbekov, Justice Minister of Kazakhstan, and Ambassador Monika Rühl Burzi, Head of the Bilateral Economic Relations Division in the Foreign Economic Affairs Directorate, SECO.
According to Aida Lurova, Kazakh Justice Ministry spokesperson, representatives of public bodies, national companies and businesses of the two nations discussed issues related to development of national economies, support to business and other relevant issues.
According to Minister Tusupbekov, for the Kazakh side investment cooperation is a long-term priority in cooperation with Switzerland. As of the H1 2009, gross inflow of direct Swiss investments into the Kazakh economy made up USD 3.248 billion.
The sides have agreed to widen the contractual legal framework between the two nations, support S&MB, and implement concrete investment projects.
