December 10, 2009 at the Government’s House in Astana Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov met Steven Allen, UNICEF Regional Director for CEE/CIS.
The sides discussed further expansion of cooperation between Kazakhstan and UNICEF.
In particular, they discussed a joint actions plan in the realms of healthcare, family issues and juvenile justice for the following 6 years.
“We are satisfied with the quality and level of relations between the organization and Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is truly committed to employing available resources for the good of the younger generations, regardless of the economic crisis”, Steven Allen said.
The Prime Minister reiterated readiness of his Government to expand cooperation with UNICEF.
The sides expressed confidence in further fruitful cooperation.
