OSCE Astana Declaration adopted
“OSCE Declaration is the first to have been signed for the last 11 years. This event opens a new stage in the life of the Organization. This is an important milestone which helps to realize the hope for a safer world”, President Nazarbayev said.
Head of State announced adoption of the Astana Declaration and thanked all the participants of the OSCE summit for their contribution into the document.
“I believe that the Declaration will lay a solid foundation for the common Euro Atlantic and Eurasian safety space”, Nazarbayev said.
“I am sure that we will put in place a reliable protection from transnational threats and will pass on safety and prosperity to generations to come…Today in Astana…we have revived the Helsinki spirit. I am sure that the Eurasian vector is able to bring closer the East and the West, the South and the North… and give an impetus to the OSCE development…”, Nazarbayev said when closing the summit.
President Nazarbayev wished success to Lithuania that is to assume the OSCE chairmanship.
