Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov meets Prime Minister Vladimir Putin of Russia
In the course of the meeting the sides exchanged their opinions on a number of acute issues related to strategic partnership between the two nations.
May 21 at the Government’s House in Astana Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov met Prime Minister Vladimir Putin of Russia who is on an official visit to Astana.
In the course of the meeting the sides exchanged their opinions on a number of acute issues related to strategic partnership between the two nations.
Following the extended talks, the sides also dwelt on forming the customs union, partnership in energy sector, nuclear industry, transport and other sectors.
In particular, they discussed the Joint Action Plan for 2009-2010 and enhancement of the legal framework for the Baikonur cosmodrome.
The sides pointed to growth of mutual investments and development of economic ties between near-border regions of the two countries.
Among the other issues on the agenda there was further coordination of efforts to minimize repercussions of the global economic crisis, and expanded integration.
The talks resulted in signing of a number of documents.
