Air Astana Airlines to reinforce its aircraft fleet
At a meeting of the Air Astana Airlines’ Board of Directors which comprises representatives of the Kazakhstan’s Samruk (a company for state assets management) and the UK’s ВАЕ Systems, a decision was taken to sign LOIs to place firm orders for deliveries of six Airbus A320 aircraft and three Boeing 787-8 aircraft powered with Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines.

Kazakhstan’s Finance Ministry to unveil the actual economic situation in Kazakhstan to international rating agencies
In the Q1 2008 the Kazakhstan’s Finance Ministry is poised to expound the actual economic situation in Kazakhstan to the international rating agencies, Vice Finance Minister Daulet Ergozhin announced at the round-table discussion on investment funds and raising of the finance awareness of the populace.

ENRC to place 0.8% of the state-owned shares at KASE in H12008
Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation Plc (ENRC) will place 0.8% of the state-owned shares at the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE). This was announced by Daulet Ergozhin, Kazakhstan Vice Minister of Finance, at the round-table discussion on investment funds and raising of the finance awareness of the populace.

Kazkahstan discusses economic cooperation with Israel
Today at the Government’s House in Astana Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Massimov met National Infrastructure Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer of Israel.
This year Bulgaria will pass on the chairmanship in the Intergovernmental commission (IGC) TRACECA to Kazakhstan. This was announced today at the VI IGC TRACECA sitting by Kazakhstan’s Transport Minister Serik Akhmetov.
Sergei Kirienko, Head of the Federal Agency for Nuclear Agency of Russia, and Mukhtar Dzhakishev, Head of the KazAtomProm National Nuclear Company of Kazakhstan, briefed Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov on pursuance of instructions given by the Presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan. The sides also dwelt on prospects of cooperation.
