The sides discussed a number of issues pertaining to development of relations between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
Effective development of trade and economic ties among ECO member nations is not possible without transport infrastructure and new transit routes, said Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov today at the 10th ECO summit of Heads of State and Heads of Governments.
On Monday Paris hosted the VIII sitting of the Kazakh-French intergovernmental committee for economic cooperation. The Kazakhstan’s delegation was headed by Economy and Budget Planning Minister Bakhyt Sultanov while the French side was represented by Anne-Marie Idrac, State Secretary for Foreign Trade.
The sides discussed the current state of the global economy and financial system as well as prospects of the Kazakhstan’s national economy.
The sitting focused on major vectors of the Comprehensive Plan to develop Kazakhstan-based oil refineries in 2009-2015 which had been worked out upon respective instruction of President N. Nazarbayev.
