Kazakhstan becomes member of the World Tourism Organization Executive Council
At the 17th session of the UNWTO General Assembly in Columbia, Kazakhstan was for the first time ever elected a member of the Executive Council of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). This was announced today by Temirkhan Dosmukhanbetov, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, at a press-conference.
Kazakhstan will assume the presidency of the OSCE in 2010. This was announced at the Madrid Ministerial Council sitting where the country’s bid was considered.
