State expenses on housing for military personnel to be significantly increased from 2008

Samruk State Holding Company proposes to replace external borrowings for internal in the North Caspian Consortium and Caspian Pipeline Consortium projects
In pursuance of respective instruction of the Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov, Samruk State Holding Company for Assets Management submitted proposals to the Government and the National Bank on replacement of external borrowings with internal borrowings in the North Caspian Consortium and Caspian Pipeline Consortium projects. This was announced by Sauat Mynbayev, Head of the Samruk Holding Company, at today’s Government sitting.
In Astana, Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Marat Tazhin met Miguel Ángel Moratinos, OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Foreign Minister of Spain.

National Council on Enhancement of Competitive Ability and Promotion of Exports to be established under the Kazakh Government
A special National Council to enhance the national economy competitive ability and to expand Kazakhstani exports is going to be established under the Kazakh Government. Respective draft document was presented to the Government by Galym Orazbakov, Kazakh Minister of Industry and Trade.
Tbilisi hosted the third sitting of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-Georgian Committee for Trade-and-Economic Cooperation.
