Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov touring Kostanai oblast on a working visit
In the course of his visit to Kostanai oblast, Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov was accompanied by some members of the Cabinet and heads of public agencies.
Public official included in the party lists of candidates standing for the parliamentary elections shall take a leave from their work in public bodies if they choose to be campaigning. This was announced at a work-shop run by the Kazakh CEC on issues of media coverage of the election process.
As of July 12, capital amnestied under the state amnesty program reached KZT 245.6 billion (KZT 2 billion), announced Mr. Nurlan Rakhmetov, Head of the Tax Committee under the Kazakh Finance Ministry, at a Government sitting.

First three lanes of the Astana-Schuchinsk AutoBahn to be commissioned in October
Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov inspected construction of the Astana – Schuchinsk autobahn which will shortly link the Kazakh capital to the Borovoye resort zone.
July 9-11, Ottawa hosted a regular round of bilateral talks between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Canada on Kazakhstan’s accession into the WTO.
In the course of the meeting, heads of interested ministries and agencies, reps of the World Bank, and “Oil revenues – under public control!” Coalition of NGOs discussed adherence to the Initiative of all extraction companies operating in Kazakhstan, and dwelt on further activities of the Coalition for several years to come.

Kazakh Prime Minister Massimov on an official visit to Kyrgyzstan
Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan signed an intergovernmental agreement on establishment of a Kazakh-Kyrgyz Investment Fund with own equity of USD 120 million.
