Joint Action Plan for 2007-2009 Signed in the Course of President V. Putin’s Visit to Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan will participate in the Burgas-Alexandroupolis project. This was announced today by Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev in the course of extended talks with President Vladimir Putin of Russia in Astana today.

Kazakhstan Transport Ministry Offers Russia to Sign Agreement on Construction of West China – West Europe Corridor Segments
Reps of transport ministries of Kazakhstan and Russia discussed construction of a second line of locks down the Volga-Don waterway and the Eurasia Canal, as well as construction of the new West China – West Europe corridor.

State Committee Chaired by Kazakhstan Prime Minister Starts Considering Break-through Projects to Modernize the Economy
The Government House hosted a regular sitting of the State-run Committee for Kazakhstan Economy Modernization chaired by the Prime Minister Karim Massimov.
Singapore hosted the 3rd international tax conference of the CIS Finance Ministers. Kazakhstan is represented by a delegation headed by Nurlan Rakhmetov, Chair of the Finance Ministry Tax Committee.
At his Germany-based residence, the Kazakh Ambassador to Germany hosted a reception for German officials and business reps.
